The Castle overlooking the village built on the limestone rock is referred to in Conna & Desmond as
The Watchman.
The building development in the field next to St. Catherines Church is the Senior Citizens Housing Project.
The other building development is Castle Brook, a private estate which will consist of 43 houses when complete.
The phenomenal changes which have occured over the past eight years in the development of the village are clearly visible from this ariel photograph, Pa Barry asked the pilot to take these pictures, they can be viewed in their framed form in the canteen at the complex. They are beautifull to look at and clearer than the postcard size displayed here.
